TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING WITH APARTMENT HOTEL

 

Please read the following information carefully. The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings unless varied in writing by Apartment Hotel. Bookings are not residential tenancies and are not regulated under the Residential Tenancies Act 1989.   They are licences to occupy short-term accommodation, and as such are exempt, and regulated under Australian common law, and the terms below.

 

1.     All bookings are quoted in Australian Dollars and are payable in cash, travelers cheques, Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Bankcard, JCB, Diners Club or Electronic Funds Transfer. Cheques are accepted only when paid 7 days in advance and cleared by the due (or arrival) date.
2.     A cleared deposit as specified per the individual booking is required before confirmation of the booking can be granted.   All outstanding amounts are to be paid 7 days prior to arrival, unless advised otherwise.
3.     Any alterations and/or extensions to bookings are subject to availability. We guarantee that if a property is unacceptable due to misrepresentation, cleanliness, or any other factor, which clearly would prejudice normal occupation, immediately upon arrival, a full refund will be made of all money paid, without any further liability. Any occupation of the property (overnight or longer) will constitute an establishment of the booking, and cancellation terms will apply. If a property becomes non-inhabitable for any reason beyond the guests control, the agent at his or her discretion, may substitute other equivalent accommodation, or refund all monies in hand. Maximum liability in any and all cases is only to refund all monies and deposits held.
4.     All Apartment Hotel properties are individually managed by Apartment Hotel. We are required to obtain a credit card imprint/details for each booking as a security deposit. This is the same procedure used at hotels and holiday accommodation throughout the world. If you would prefer to pay cash security deposit which is refundable on check out we can accept AUD $ 1000.00 and you will need to provide this amount upon arrival. The requirement to provide security deposit forms part of our standard booking terms.
 
5.     There is a maximum occupation for each apartment. The above-mentioned apartment has a maximum capacity of four (4) people.   If there are extra persons occupying the accommodation without written consent from Apartment Hotel, your booking may be immediately cancelled, and you are liable to forfeit all deposits and payments up to the 14 day notice period.
 
6.     If any unsuitable or rowdy behaviour in the accommodation, or public and common areas causes damage and/or disturbances to other residents, you may be given immediate notice to quit, forfeiting all deposits and payments up to the 14 days notice period, plus the full costs of repair and/or replacement of all such damage and repair.
 
WE HAVE A STRICT NO PARTY POLICY AND ARE VERY FIRM ON THIS.
GUESTS BOOKINGS WILL BE IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED AND THEY WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE APARTMENTS, REGARDLESS OF THE HOUR, WITHOUT REFUND.  
 
7.     We accept normal wear and tear on the accommodation, if however, there are damages due to, but not limited to, (or excess cleaning required), cigarette burns and marks, damage and stains to soft furnishings, broken crockery and glass, damage due to careless or misuse of any equipment, or fittings, forced entry by guests etc, we reserve the right to deduct the costs of these from any deposits held, or charge credit card accounts and to receive, from the guest, further damages should this be necessary.
 
 

8.     We are not responsible for lost keys or lockouts. We are available during normal office hours, and may be, but do not guarantee, availability at any other time to replace lost keys. It is the guests’ responsibility to arrange and pay for a licensed locksmith to gain entry to the accommodation if keys have been lost.

If security keys are not returned, we will deduct the full cost of new keys and lock barrel replacement, from deposits held. The units are individually managed, we do NOT have a reception in each block, contact is through our office during normal business hours. If any window is broken to gain access, you will be charged for the window at replacement cost.
 
9.     We do not insure guests personal belongings, also our own losses due to guests leaving open windows, doors etc which is not covered by our insurance policies, may be recovered from the guest responsible. We do not take responsibility for any loss or damage to guests belongings in the event of a break in, theft, fire, or any other such incidence. This extends to guests vehicles parked on the premises. If a guest is to park his or her car in the garage, they do so at their own risk.
10.   No pets of any kind are allowed in the accommodation.
11.   Telephone calls to local land lines are free to guests of Apartment Hotel
12.   Parking is strictly limited to the space/s allocated, NO PARKING in any other spaces. A remote control will be provided for access to the garage parking area. Loss of this remote will be recovered from the security deposit or credit card provided.
13.   Guests are responsible for taking their own bagged waste to the proper receptacle in the block, throughout their stay.

14.   Check in from 14:00 hrs (2:00 pm)        

Check out before 10:00 hrs  (10:00 am) Unless otherwise agreed.

Check in is by appointment only.

DATES ARE NOT INCLUSIVE - CHECK OUT IS AT 10.00 am ON THE FINAL DATE ON YOUR CONFIRMATION SHEET. A late check out can often be granted with prior arrangement and if provided in writing by Apartment Hotel, verbal confirmation is not sufficient.   Please note that if you book for the 1-15th June (ie 14 nights) you depart 10.00am on the 15th.
